Rob Holmes – Founder and Chief Storyteller

robholmesRob founded GLP in 2007 with the simple goal of building a unique and successful production and marketing company committed to award-winning authentic storytelling on important global issues. Rob has a diverse background in multi-media production, storytelling, conservation, tourism, and entrepreneurship. Prior to GLP, Rob has worked with leading organizations, including The Nature Conservancy, Appalachian Mountain Club, Woodland Park Zoo, Trails.com, and REI. An award-winning photographer, Rob has worked, studied, and traveled across 80+ countries. When he has time, Rob loves anything in the outdoors, trail running, woodworking, anything media, and chipping away at his wife’s Honey Do List. Matt Weatherly – Production Supervisor

wp_mattMatt is responsible for supervising the technical production aspects of GLP’s expeditions, and also manages the post production process. Matt is a dedicated video editor, and also enjoys shooting with a variety of cameras. He spends a ridiculous amount of time trying to find the perfect spot to mount a GoPro. He enjoys traveling anywhere and everywhere, and relishes the opportunity to tell stories with GLP. Matt grew up in Tennessee and now resides in Colorado with his lovely wife and cantankerous but charming dog. Matt graduated from the University of Memphis in 2003 with a concentration in Film and Video Production. He can frequently be seen running and hiking throughout Colorado, and dropping discs while playing Ultimate. instagram/@weathabee

Laura Knudson – Education Program Manager

Laura-glpteamAs GLP’s Education Program Manger, Laura is responsible for curriculum development and outreach, ultimately finding the best ways to share GLP’s educational resources with diverse audiences.  Laura has spearheaded multiple projects to bring GLP’s films to students and teachers across the country, including the Student Film Project contest, GLP’s Ambassador Program, and national partnerships with leading education organizations. Laura has a passion for wildlife (especially okapis), photography, avocados, and pretty much all things Africa.  You can often find this shutterbug daydreaming of African safaris at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.  Laura graduated from University of Redlands in 2008 with a double major in Environmental Studies and Creative Writing, and is an alumnus of the School for Field Studies (SFS) Kenya 06′. linkedin/lauraknudson | twitter/@lauramknudson

Jenny Ersbak – Business Development Manager / Production Manager

jenny-ersbakJenny is responsible for fostering film production collaboration between GLP and leading organizations and brands across the globe.  She brings a strong background in sustainability through her previous work with adventure travel start-up, AdventureLink, Inc. and continues to cultivate her passion for conservation via various volunteer projects.  Jenny currently calls Kauai home and (when not glued to her MacBook Pro) can be found traversing razor-sharp ridgelines, sweating it out in spin class, devouring a good book, praying her boyfriend buys her a puppy (pleeeeease), and planning her next epic adventure.  Jenny graduated from UC San Diego in 2006 with a BA in Media Art. facebook/jennyersbak | instagram/@ersbatch

Elivia Shaw – Associate Producer

elivia-shawAs an Associate Producer with GLP, Elivia focuses on film production in all phases, from story development and pre-production, to working in the field and assisting in post-production. Megan Marrs – Content & Social Media Manager

megan-marrsMegan manages content and social media for GLP, engaging with GLP followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other networks. She is also responsible for  bringing fresh, original content to GLP’s blog and managing copywriting tasks. Megan’s hobbies are many, varied, and ever-changing. Depending on the month you catch her, she could be wheel-throwing, unlocking PS3 achievements, attempting to play the harmonica, or lounging in a hammock devouring the latest Song of Fire and Ice book. Megan attended school at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. Nick Piedmonte – Director of Business Development

cary-pic1As Director of Business Development with GLP, Nick is responsible for stewarding the organization’s strategic and value-added partnerships. Prior to joining GLP, Nick served as Vice President of Operations & Finance with Sustainable Travel International, an International NGO focused on tourism development. This role was followed by work in Tourism Corporate Partnerships for Code REDD, an NGO focused on deforestation and climate issues.
