Green Living Project’s (GLP Films) Education Program started as a simple effort to bring our short films into the classroom. As a film production company, who knew we’d soon become leaders in the education space! Through our unique approach to storytelling, we’ve been able to connect students and educators to positive, real-world case studies of sustainability from around the globe. GLP now offers a variety of educational resources and opportunities, including our free multimedia curriculum, a new school assembly program, and the popular Student Film Project contest.
GLP visits K-12 schools, colleges and community events throughout the U.S. with our School Assembly program. Meet your local GLP ambassador and bring our latest multimedia presentation, “Appetite for Adventure: Exploring Global Food Sustainability,” to your school!
GLP’s curriculum resource uses multimedia and storytelling to bring unique sustainability education into the classroom. The free resource, “Students Connecting to Global Sustainability,” features educational short films and interdisciplinary lessons for K-12 classrooms.
Calling all students! The Student Film Project contest invites students to create their own short films documenting sustainability-related projects or initiatives. This biannual contest runs in the fall and spring semester and is open to sixth grade through graduate level students.
