GLP Films Awarded “Best Adventure Travel Film of 2019” for Georgia Video

“One Blood: Georgia” Travel Video Makes GLP a 3x Winner and Official Airbnb “Partner Pick” in Adventure Travel Trade Association’s Film Contest

Kennebunk, Maine (October 29, 2019) -- GLP Films, an award-winning full-service destination marketing agency specializing in visual storytelling and content marketing for the travel and sustainability industries, was voted the winner of the “Best Adventure Travel Film of 2019” in the Adventure Travel Trade Association’s annual Adventure in Motion film contest.  

The Adventure in Motion film contest has established itself as a coveted travel industry competition that attracts over 100 high-quality short film submissions each year from leading travel destinations and brands around the world. GLP’s winning film, “One Blood: Georgia,” was determined by a live vote from over 800 adventure travel industry delegates at the 2019 Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) in Gothenburg, Sweden. This marks GLP’s third win for the “Best Adventure Travel Film” award. 

GLP Films produced the winning video in partnership with Georgia National Tourism Administration (GNTA) as part of a strategic content marketing campaign to support the emerging travel destination of Georgia. The campaign features story-driven content that explores the roots of adventure travel in the Caucasus Mountains of Georgia through the lens of a paraglider and his grandmother, and their shared passion for the air. 

In addition to winning the first place title, “One Blood: Georgia” was also awarded the “Partner Pick” by contest sponsor Airbnb.  The video was chosen as “Partner Pick” for its compelling character-driven storytelling and focus on immersion in experiential local travel. GLP Films has previously won the Adventure in Motion contest with experiential, story-driven travel films including “Salkantay Inca Trail: The Ultimate Trek to Machu Picchu” (Peru, 2016), and “Man at the End of the World” (Chile, 2017).
