Strategic Communication Campaign to Highlight Adaptable, Accessible, and Inclusive Travel (Oregon, USA)
Overview
GLP Films (GLP) is partnering with the Oregon Coast Visitors Association (OCVA) on a strategic communications campaign that centers on the intersection of sustainable tourism, inclusion, and accessibility, and its role in supporting climate solutions. We will be working closely with OCVA to produce a short video series that will feature a range of community members whose work and advocacy in eliminating barriers to nature and the outdoors exemplify these goals. By showcasing these stories, we aim to demonstrate the welcoming nature of the Oregon Coast as a destination where tourism drives economic prosperity, benefits the natural environment, and celebrates diversity.

CHALLENGE:
There is a growing population of people with some kind of mobility issue so providing accessible, adaptable, and inclusive travel in the outdoors and removing barriers to AAI and multigenerational travel is a win-win situation. Destinations that include inclusive, adaptable, and accessible travel will help increase visitors and sustainability.
Tourism organizations along the Oregon Coast have invested in inclusive and sustainable travel and the Oregon Coast Visitors Association (OCVA) wants to communicate these important initiatives and stories with visitors.
In collaboration with OCVA and their network of local partners, GLP will produce compelling video content showcasing the sustainable work being done which protects the natural beauty and resources of the region while providing equitable access. These inspirational and educational stories will shine a light on the collaborative initiatives and different organizations along the Oregon Coast that are working to ensure access to the outdoors and its benefits centering the diverse voices of local stewards and visitors.
