GLP Films Partners with Sustainable Travel International (STI) in Storytelling Competition to Offer Winner a Carbon Neutral Video Production Package
Innovative “Sustainability Storytelling Competition” Offers Grand Prize Winner a Free Video Production Package Plus Global Distribution by GLP and Partners; Thanks to a Generous Gift from GLP Partner Sustainable Travel International (STI), this Video Production Will Now be Carbon Neutral.
Kennebunk, Maine (June 27, 2022) -- GLP Films (GLP), the award-winning content marketing agency dedicated to sustainable tourism, is excited to announce a partnership with Sustainable Travel International (STI) to offer the winner of the Sustainability Storytelling Competition a carbon-neutral video production package.
Born from GLP’s mission to promote sustainability through storytelling, this unique competition invites organizations of any size, from any industry, to submit their untold story of sustainability for a chance to win a free custom video produced and distributed by GLP and global partners.
Ivory Vogt, Program Manager for Climate and Resilience at STI says, "we love the stories that GLP is already telling, and we're very excited to join this competition and help elevate the organizations that don't always have access to these resources. We want to hear the stories that are coming from different places and that intersect sustainability in different ways, whether that's through community, nature, or a combination… We're really excited to see a holistic sustainability story come out of this."
The competition has six categories that cover critical issues around climate and environment, community, and social justice: Sustainable & Regenerative Tourism, Sustainable Food, Environmental Justice, Conservation & Nature, Communities & Cultural Preservation, and Best of the Rest, to capture outstanding stories outside the main categories. Top-tier panelists from diverse industries around the world will review submissions and identify winners based on story potential, greatest need, previous exposure, and positive impact.
The goal of the competition is to promote stories that can make a positive difference in the global outlook. Now more than ever, the world needs inspiring stories to drive environmental and social restoration. Founder and Chief Strategist of GLP, Rob Holmes, says, “When the pandemic hit, we took some time to reevaluate our role in the industry. We’ve recommitted to our mission of sustainability and to use what we do best — storytelling — to help our industry recover, reposition, and build back better. We recognize that sustainability needs to be a fundamental part of doing business across all industries. And this competition will help meet that need."
Each Category Prize Winner will be awarded a GLP remote video production package and promotion by GLP and partners: AFAR, G Adventures, Intrepid, Kind Traveler, Lifestraw, Planeterra, STl, Tastemade Travel, Transformational Travel Council, Travelife, Cayuga Hotels, TravPro, Center for Responsible Travel, and others.
In addition, one Grand Prize Winner will be selected from the six Category Prize Winners and will receive an on-location, full production video package by GLP. This net-zero video production, provided by STI, will then be globally promoted by GLP and partners.
The GLP Sustainability Storytelling Competition is currently open for submissions and will close July 31, 2022, at 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time (New York). Multiple submissions highlighting different stories will be accepted from a single organization.
